The US on Wednesday unveiled a new $800,000 maintenance facility located in the Aley town of Aramoun for the Internal Security Forces as part of Washington’s partnership with the Lebanese security agency.

“The US Embassy is proud to partner with the ISF to provide a maintenance facility equipped with the latest technology and spare parts needed to maintain the 450 Dodge Chargers, 60 Ford Explorers, 25 Harley motorcycles, and several SUVs,” US Deputy Chief of Mission in Lebanon Richard Mills said in the ribbon cutting ceremony.

“This facility provides modern techniques for repairing these vehicles, keeping them on the road longer and allowing the ISF to more effectively deliver law-enforcement services to the Lebanese public,” a statement issued by the US Embassy in Lebanon cited the diplomat as saying.
