Israeli aircraft and naval vessels pounded targets across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, killing at least 11 people and injuring 80, Palestinian health officials said, in a campaign to halt rocket fire by militants in the territory.
Israel launched the offensive against the Islamist group Hamas, which controls Gaza, following a wave of rocket launches by the group on Monday.
