The Lebanese Shiite militant party Hezbollah confirmed Wednesday that Israeli fighter jets had shelled one of its strategic positions on the Lebanese-Syrian border on Monday, vowing to avenge the strike.

“The resistance will choose the right time and place to retaliate for the strike near the Bekaa region of Jinta,” the group said in a press statement.

It added that no one was killed or injured in the attack, saying that only material damage was incurred.
