Turkey’s “direct” defense budget for 2015 will climb modestly from the current year, but the country’s procurement planners will rely on indirect and non-budgetary funding to finance new acquisitions worth about US $4 billion next year.
Turkey’s defense-related budget consists of government funds allocated for the Defense Ministry, the Gendarmerie force and Coast Guard. Gendarmerie and Coast Guard funds come under the Interior Ministry’s budget.
