One man was killed and another wounded in northern Lebanon’s Wadi Khaled Thursday by gunfire originating from the Syrian side of the border with Lebanon.

The casualties were caused by machine-gun fire in the direction of the petroleum pipeline in Wadi Khaled on the Lebanese bank of the Nahr al-Kabir river, the National News Agency reported.

The two men, identified as Syrian nationals Mohammed Hussein and Khaled Khodr al-Quweisim, were transferred by a Red Cross ambulance to Sayyida al-Salam hospital in al-Qobayat.
