The Sudan Liberation Movement, led by Abdel Wahid El Nur (SLM-AW) announced that its fighters killed 15 government forces near Tura, west of Rokoro in Central Darfur, on Saturday.

The rebels clashed with a military convoy en route from Zalingei, capital of Central Darfur, to Rokoro. They killed 15 army soldiers and militiamen, among them three officers, SLM-AW’s military spokesman, Mustafa Tambour, told Radio Dabanga.

He added that the three officers are Col. Ahmed Rehan Azrag and Lt. Col. Adel Abdelrahim Ibrahim, both of the paramilitary Border Guards, and Lt. Abu Zeid Ali Hasan. “We also seized seven Land Cruisers, loaded with guns, three large Renault vehicles, and other weapons and ammunition.” […]
