Singapore said Monday it would provide military support to the U.S.-led coalition fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) group but would not take part in combat operations.

Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen told parliament the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) would deploy officers to the U.S. Central Command and the Combined Joint Task Force Headquarters spearheading the campaign in Iraq and Syria.
