Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of Rostec State Corporation, will bring a strong line-up to the Dubai Airshow 2013 on 17-21 November. The airshow, one of the most important aviation events in the region, is this year taking place at a new location, Dubai World Central, centred around Al-Maktoum International Airport. The Russian Helicopters display can be found at stand 881.
Russian Helicopters will demonstrate its current line-up of the latest commercial models, and military helicopters jointly with Rosoboronexport, primarily the Ka-52 Alligator, the Mi-28NE Night Hunter, the military multirole Mi-35M and the Mi-17V-5 and Mi-171Sh military transports.
The company’s range of commercial helicopters will be represented by its latest developments – the multirole Mi-171A2 and Ka-62, and the modernised Mi-26T2. In addition visitors will also be able to see the coaxial Ka-32A11BC, which can fly search-and-rescue missions and be deployed to fight fires. Experts say that the Ka-32A11BC is a unique helicopter that could put out a fire at the top of the Burj al-Khalifa in Dubai, one of the world’s tallest buildings at 828 metres (123 storeys).
