While the US administration is working on forming a coalition with a number of regional countries, including Turkey, against the threat of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), The Washington Post has claimed that drones involved in the recent US military airstrikes are likely flying from İncirlik Air Base in Turkey.

As US President Barack Obama talks about possible new strikes against ISIL, the White House began its diplomatic campaign to enlist allies and neighbors in the region. According to The New York Times, the countries likely to be enlisted include Australia, Britain, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
