A coalition of rebels have launched a campaign to break through regime lines north of Homs in the latest offensive to beset the Assad government.

A coalition of insurgent factions early Tuesday announced the start of “Incumbent Upon Was Support of the Believers,” an operation in which opposition fighters have reportedly advanced on regime territory and inflicted losses on pro-government troops.

The “Support of the Oppressed” operations room, which launched the offensive, includes the rebel groups: Ahrar al-Sham, Al-Nusra Front, Jaysh al-Tawhid, Homs Corps, Ahl al-Sunna wa al-Jamaa and Ajnad Homs, the pro-opposition All4Syria reported. […]
