President Barack Obama plans to meet Nov. 9 with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House announced Wednesday, in what will be the first sit-down between the two leaders since relations sagged over U.S. efforts to complete a nuclear deal with Iran.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said implementation of the Iran deal will be a prominent topic of Messrs. Obama and Netanyahu’s White House meeting, as will be “countering Tehran’s destabilizing activities.

“The president also looks forward to discussing Israel’s relations with the Palestinians, the situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and the need for the genuine advancement of a two-state solution,” Mr. Earnest said. […]
