Shamshir (Sword) missile-launcher warship of the Iranian Navy managed to fulfill its mission with 100 percent rate of success in the recently staged joint drills with Oman’s Navy after being overhauled by Iranian experts, senior military officials announced on Wednesday.

“Shamshir missile-launcher warship is capable of firing different mid-range and long-range surface-to-surface missiles, including Nour and Qader, or any other type of missile after its recent overhaul,” Deputy Commander of the Navy for Operations Rear Admiral Shahram Irani said on Wednesday.

Noting that the warship is equipped with hi-tech home-made radars, he said, “The warship also has a double-purpose surface-to-surface and surface-to-air artillery which has been built by Iranian industries and the defense ministry and was tested successfully in the drills.” […]
