The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released an infographic on 2 March stating that the Lebanese group Hezbollah has ‘Scud-D’ ballistic missiles in its inventory.
This is the first time the IDF has gone on the record to corroborate reports that Syria is transferring its longest-range missiles to its Lebanese ally.
The first claims that Hezbollah was acquiring ‘Scud-Ds’ emerged in April 2010, when the then Israeli president Shimon Peres said that Syria was transferring ‘Scud’ ballistic missiles to the group.
