Fresh clashes erupted in eastern Libya early on Monday between renegade forces loyal to retired general Khalifa Haftar and Islamist militias in and around the troubled city of Benghazi.
Pan-Arab and local media reported heavy weapons, including Grad rockets, striking several parts of the city, with missiles being launched from its international airport, now under the control of Gen Haftar’s loyalists. At least six people were killed and 12 injured in clashes over the last 24 hours, the official WAL news agency reported..
