Syrian regime troops and Islamists engaged Monday night in clashes along the border outside the embattled town of Arsal in the Wadi al-Rayaan area as the blasts of artillery rounds echoes through the area.

Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that amid the fighting, two rockets fired from Syria hit Labwe, located west of Arsal, near the Shiite-populated town’s pubic school without causing any damage.

Meanwhile, a mortar shell struck the northern Beqaa town of Al-Amhaziyya without resulting in any destruction or casualties. […]
